Peter Kraus Bachelorette Season
Peter Kraus: Kraus is the son of Austrian-born director and comedian Fred Krausnecker, and spent his youth alternating in Munich, Vienna and Salzburg where his father owned a small theatre. During his school years, he took singing and acting lessons as well as step dancing classes. His first acting role was the part of Johnny in The Flying Classroom (1954) after the novel by Erich Kästner.
When the German music industry discovered that rock ’n’ roll was a big seller even with German lyrics, they marketed Kraus as an Elvis copy. Kraus soon became – just like his colleague Ted Herold – one of Germany’s most popular singers and teen idols, the lanky and nonchalant attitude of the young man was a big hit with teens. In the first four years after his debut, he published 36 hits and sold more than twelve million records.

Peter Kraus Bachelor
When The Bachelor franchise star Bibiana Julian, 31, called out Peter Kraus, 33, on Twitter, it shook up Bachelor Nation a little bit! Peter had finished second on 33-year-old lawyer Rachel Lindsay’s season of The Bachelorette, and he was thought to be the next Bachelor before 37-year-old Arie Luyendyck Jr. took the coveted role. He was the franchise’s golden boy, but Bibiana was not having it when he played down their former fling in a new interview, so she decided to speak up for herself.
We chatted with her and another former contestant Seinne Flemming, 28, EXCLUSIVELY at the Nokia Darlings and Devices event in New York City. The two Bachelor faves told us to brand new details about their post-show involvement with other former cast-members.
Rachel Lindsay And Peter Kraus
It was so heartbreaking to see Rachel Lindsay and Peter Kraus break up on The Bachelorette last year, and now, we know that it was their second to last interaction. In a new interview with Us Weekly, Lindsay said she doesn’t speak to Kraus anymore, and even though some exes can be friends after their relationships have ended, it sounds like this was the best choice here.
At the end of The Bachelorette, fans are treated to a fairytale proposal… and a sometimes awkward, heart-wrenching breakup. It was really hard to see Kraus on the receiving end of Lindsay’s bad news, but since she and Bryan Abasolo, her final pick, are still going strong, she obviously made the right decision — but that doesn’t mean it came easy for her.

It’s been months since the finale of Rachel Lindsay’s Bachelorette season, but fans will never forget Rachel and runner-up Peter Kraus at After the Final Rose. Some fans felt like Rachel shaded Peter and insinuated that he shouldn’t be the next Bachelor with some of the remarks that she made. Rachel expanded on her comments during a recent episode of the Heather Dubrow’s World podcast, and yeah, she was basically saying what we all thought on ATFR.
Just as a refresher for anyone who forgot, Rachel told Peter, “I just don’t think that this world, this process, this journey, this show ― I just don’t think that it’s for you. You need more time. You need to, like, see things through.”
Peter Kraus The Bachelorette
“The Bachelorette” alum Peter Kraus hasn’t lived in Chicago for years, but he proved Saturday that he still has a loyal fan base here. He hosted two sold-out boot camps at Brooklyn Boulders on the Near West Side despite persistent snowfall.
Dating is hard. And when the entire country has watched you fall in love — and then go through a traumatic breakup — on TV, it can be even harder. At least that’s the case for Peter Kraus, the fan-favorite contestant who made it to the final two when he vied for Rachel Lindsay’s heart on The Bachelorette in 2017. After telling Rachel that he loved her but wasn’t ready to propose, Kraus packed his bags.
Kraus used to teach spin classes and train clients at the former I.D. Gym space in the Lincoln Park area. He also worked as a model when he lived here twice — in 2007 for about six months and in 2012 for several more months. In 2017, he competed for attorney Rachel Lindsay’s heart on Season 13 of “The Bachelorette.” He came in second place after he told Lindsay he loved her, but he was not ready to get engaged on the finale.
